SHAH ALAM - Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak beseeches God for blessings and miracles as court ruling looms.

On his latest Instagram posting today, Najib hoped his application for review following his conviction and 12-year jail sentence would be eased.

"We pray for a miracle from you, Allah SWT. Show us the light and lead us on the path for those who face difficulties and hardships.

"Free us from a life of torment and tyranny that destroys," he said in the post.

The Federal Court is set to deliver its decision on Friday on whether Najib is allowed to review his conviction and sentence in the RM42 million SRC International Sdn Bhd case.

It was reported that the former premier had requested to overturn the sentence made by a five-member bench of the Federal Court led by Chief Justice Tun Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat on August 23 last year.

Najib is currently serving a 12-year prison sentence in Kajang Prison, as well as a RM210 million fine for misappropriating SRC International Sdn Bhd funds.
