SHAH ALAM - The Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (Bersih) stresses that it is a contempt of court to say that the four of the five panel of judges at the Federal Court were politically influenced in the decision to dismiss Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s review bid in his SRC International Sdn Bhd case.

Its chairman Thomas Fann said all parties should be opened in accepting the decision and needed to look forward.

"To imagine that all the judges who upheld Najib’s conviction were politically influenced is an insult to the integrity of our judiciary.

"Najib has gone through the full process in the country’s judicial system, he had also obtained the services of some of the best lawyers in Malaysia to defend him in every step.

"So, it is time for us to accept the decision and move on," he told Rasuah Busters.

Meanwhile, Fann said he hoped that the decision could serve as a lesson to other leaders to carry out the duty entrusted to them in the best possible way.

"I hope that Najib’s case will serve as a warning to those entrusted with high positions.

"Perform your duties with integrity towards the public without giving in to the temptations to enrich yourself through corruption,” he said.
