SEREMBAN - Perikatan Nasional (PN) is concerned that the strong PH-BN relationship in the unity government mayhinder their attempts to seize power, said DAP Secretary General Anthony Loke Siew Fook.

He said the PN will do anything to topple the unity government.

"They really don't want to see us doing well because when we do well, we are strong, and they (PN) have no chance to take over the government.

"Of course the opponent will (try to) break us. That can be expected," he told reporters after the Transport Minister met with Seremban community leaders at the Seremban City Council hall here, today.

Loke, the DAP Negeri Sembilan chairman further said PN does not want a collaboration between PH and BN to continue as it will cost them politically.

He said cooperation within the party coalition have contributed to strengthening political stability of the country.

"If we are politically stable and can govern the country well, of course the people will support it.

"But the opposition will feel at a loss. If the government and the people like it, of course in the next state election, they will be rejected," Loke said.

When asked if cooperation with BN gave DAP an advantage in winning Malay votes, he said he did not see it as an advantage but rather proof of spirit within the successfully formed unity government

He also added that it is also not seen as political gain but as stable and harmonious political stability.

"In Negeri Sembilan, for example, we don't have many problems, and I think the good relationship was established before we formed the unity government again.

"When the unity government is formed, and in Negeri Sembilan, it can be said that it is quite common for us to continue this cooperation," he said.
