Thousand flocked to Pavilion KL to meet Michelle Yeoh

Thousands flocked to Pavilion KL yesterday to welcome Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh at her public fan meet.

Fans were seen waiting at the mall's centre court and main entrance as early as 3pm.

When Yeoh arrived, she walked through the relatively long red carpet, making sure to stop for signatures and photos with fans.

On stage, Yeoh held up her Oscar trophy and thanked her fans for their love and support.

“Thank you, everyone.

“No matter where I am, you all are in my heart and I’m truly a Malaysian.”

Speaking on her next plans to do with the statuette, she added that she would let her mother, Datin Janet Yeoh, keep it for a while.

“My parents have always taught me that nothing comes simply in life.

Tengku Puteri Iman Afzan Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al Mustafa Billah Shah, who is the eldest daughter of Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah was spotted on the red carpet.

Yeoh made history last month after becoming the first Malaysian and Asian to win the Best Actress award at the 95th Academy Awards.

The 60-year-old actress was honoured with the Best Actress in a Leading Role award for Everything Everywhere All at Once at Hollywood’s most prestigious award ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
