Gagasan Rakyat Youth Movement announces new leadership lineup

Speaking to reporters after chairing the movement’s first meeting, Fairuz, who is also Pintasan assemblyman, said those elected were from various ethnicities and religions in Sabah, and their qualifications in various fields would strengthen Gagasan Rakyat.
The new leadership includes his vice-chief, Azrul Ibrahim, Khazarudin Kahar (Asst Secretary), Mohammad Ghazali Hajiji (Asst Treasurer) and Barhul Sahibu as Information Chief.
"We are currently in the process of registering members throughout Sabah and the response is very encouraging. We expect members among youth to exceed 20,000 people by the year’s end,” he said.
Meanwhile, he shared that the movement will establish the GAHMUDA squad, a volunteer team that will serve as a platform for youth to contribute ideas, energy and time involving issues like social welfare, disasters and accidents.
"GAHMUDA will be launched before the of the year and all Gagasan Rakyat members aged 18 to 40 are welcomed to join,” he added.
