Gunman who killed eight and wounded 13 in Serbia drive-by shooting arrested

ZAGREB, Serbia - Serbian police on Friday morning caught the 21-year-old gunman after he had committed a massacre in Mladenovac where he killed eight victims and wounded 13 persons on Thursday evening.

Serbian media outlets said that the young man was caught by the police near Kragujevac, 60 kilometres of Mladenovac, according to Croatin news agency (Hina).the eight people in a few villages while opening fire from his moving car.

The Interior Ministry called the massacre "an act of terrorism".

The injured persons were admitted to hospitals in Belgrade and Smederevo.

The Mladenovac drive-by shooting came less than 48 hours after a seventh grade student shot dead nine and injured seven at a school in Belgrade before turning himself in.

Ten years ago, also in Mladenovac, a 60-year-old man committed a massacre when he shot dead 13 neighbours: six men, six women and a baby, according to the report. - BERNAMA-HINA
