KUALA LUMPUR - Barisan Nasional (BN) may use its logo in several states in the upcoming state elections.

BN's Election Director Datuk Seri Mohamad Hassan said the move is seen as an advantage.

“What we are considering is there are allies (in unity government) who want to use our (BN) logo in certain states as an election strategy,” he said after Raya open house here, today.

He decline to reveal the states involved.

Mohamad, commonly known as Tok Mat said the BN Supreme Council has decided to use the logo in the next state election.

“We have stated and decided that in the state elections we will use our own logo and campaign on our stage.

“The state elections will become a sign to how far voters will support BN and from there we will make appropriate steps to face the 16th general election (GE16),” said the defence minister.

State elections will be held in Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Penang, Kelantan, Kedah and Terengganu. - Awani
