KOTA BHARU - Pas confirmed that the son of former Kelantan Chief Minister Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz is still a member of the party.

Pas Secretary-General, Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan confirmed that Nik was still a member of the party thus burying speculations that the former Bachok MP wanted to join Pakatan Harapan (PH).

"He is still a Pas member, and there is no discussion about whether the rumour is true or not.

"Whoever made the accusation, prove it. For Pas, it is unproven," he said when met at the Kelantan police contingent's Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2023 Celebration Ceremony at its headquarters here on Wednesday.

Also present at the event was Kelantan Police Chief, Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun and his wife, Datin Suzana Yashin.

Question marks had arose following the spread of pictures of a meeting between the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, and Nik Mohamad Abduh during his visit to Kelantan.

The meeting, which was said to be held at the Perdana Hotel, was also attended by Nik Mohamad Abduh's brother Nik Omar and the Prime Minister's wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

Two days ago, Nik Mohamad Abduh himself insisted that his meeting with Anwar was just a normal meeting and had nothing to do with politics.
