SHAH ALAM - Bersatu Central Information Committtee member Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik states the support of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad towards Perikatan Nasional (PN) can unite the Malays.

He said the decision made by Mahathir could make the party movement more solid due to having the same goals.

"Insya-Allah Tun M's support for PN will make our movement stronger in ensuring the Bumiputera majority public that are the Malays and natives go back to governing the country to becomes a reality," he told Sinar when met at the Sinar Wacana Series 400 titled 'State Elections: Who Should the Public Choose' live at the Karangkraf Group Complex here on Tuesday.

Sinar previously reported Dr Mahathir admitting he was prepared to cooperate with the PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin if both parties could reach the same goal.

Rahim informed that politics required the same clear direction on the matters that needed to be done.

He said if an individual says something bad about a party, let's keep it in the past.

"Whatever has happened, let it happen. The people would only appreciate what we do now.

"Sometimes they learn from their mistakes and that history makes it easier to move forward," he said.
