ALOR SETAR - Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor has described former Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng as childish.

He said this after Lim accused him of promoting 'terrorism' by comparing the capture of Penang to the conquest of Constantinople.

Sanusi said this childish attitude seems to be like a disease for those at the DAP leadership level because every action of others is considered incorrect, threatening or dangerous to the country.

"Guan Eng is a joke he is like a child, where other people's behaviour is a threat to him all the time, even if I ate, he will say its because I want to be healthy to fight him," he said when met after the state government vehicle handover ceremont at Wisma Darul Aman on Wednesday.

Sanusi said that his speech about Constantinople was metaphorical but was misinterpreted by Guan Eng.

"He justified that thing from any angle, I don't know why, my speech about Constantinople was a metaphor, Constantinople doesn't even exist now, it is now Istanbul

"A metaphor is a figure of speech, where the meaningcan be very different, it is an art in language, and this person (Guan Eng) does not know the Malay language, he has lived in Malaysia for twenty years, Malay is also telo (can't speak well) anymore, not only is he not too smart, his understanding of things is also poor,I think he has to correct himself before speaking untruths about other people," he said.

Sanusi said he recalled the time, when the DAP chairman equated the Penang DAP administration with the administration of Caliph Umar Abdul Aziz.

"I remember he used a metaphor and described himself as similar to Caliph Umar Abdul Aziz, when he does it its not wrong. Caliph Umar Abdul Aziz is the grandson of Saidina Umar, the famous third caliph, and the fiercest, why can he use the metaphor of Umar Abdul Aziz, he is not a Muslim, Caliph Umar is Muslim.

"But people were not mad with his comparisons or metaphors, there were even Malays who were not 'tahwan' (not sane) at the time and support him anyway, how can he equate himself to Caliph Umar Abdul Aziz, see what has happened , the tunnel scandal, buying a bungalow, that is not how Caliph Umar is like at all," he said.

On Tuesday a portal reported that Guan Eng claimed that Sanusi encouraged 'terrorism' by comparing the capture of Penang with the conquest of Constantinople by Muslims almost 600 years ago.

He also stated that the statements made by Sanusi are dangerous to the Federal Constitution, and threatens peace and national unity.
