SHAH ALAM - Penang DAP is giving assurance that several transportation infrastructure projects are in the pipeline to address traffic congestion in the island.

Rayer said the upcoming development of ferries, a light rail transit (LRT) system and the expanson of airport and highways are all aimed at alleviating the traffic congestion.

"There are ferries, LRT coming in. We of course want to expand the airport and also highway connecting Paya Terubong, Ayer Hitam directly to Jelutong Expressway

"Those plans are in place and that will be another step forward for Penangnites where they will be able to travel within the Penang Island without any form of traffic congestion especially during school holidays and holidays," he told Sinar Daily's Politically Frank.

Therefore, with the cooperation of unity government, Rayer believes there is potential to bring in more investments and infrastucture into Penang.

When questioned about the concerns of Penang voters and how Pakatan Harapan (PH) could address them, Rayer highlighted the party's longstanding commitment to the welfare of the people in Penang.
