SEREMBAN - A teenage boy had a panic attack when he was detained during the 'Samseng Jalanan' operation at the Seremban-Port Dickson Toll Plaza, today.

The 18-year old was believed to have been struck by the panic attack as he was scared of being scolded by his mother after he was stopped by traffic police.

During the incident, he laid down on the ground while his friend tried to calm him down.

At the same time, he expressed how much he wanted to go back home as his mother was waiting for him.

However, the teenager went home with eight summonses for various offences including for using incomplete motorcycle accessories, not having a licence plate and rear view mirror.

The teen’s friend known as Asrul said there were 30 of them on their way back to Johor Bahru after attending a motorcycle group gathering in Rasah, here.

Meanwhile, the operation which started from 3am and ended at 4.40am was carried out by the Seremban traffic investigation and enforcement department (JSPT).

A total of 121 motorcycles were inspected and 236 summonses were issued for various offences.

The most common offence was having no side mirrors which recorded 37 cases as well as lack of accessory problems and not having a vehicle number plate (34 cases).

Apart from that, six motorcycles were confiscated and three men were arrested under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

The Negeri Sembilan environment department issued also 11 summonses for making loud noises.
