Pas voters in dilemma over my good work - Azrul

BAYAN LEPAS - Bayan Lepas incumbent assemblyman Azrul Mahathir Aziz is confident of retaining his seat in the upcoming state election, thanks to the help of his component party, Barisan Nasional (BN).

Azrul said that he has been receiving strong support from BN members, who have been actively campaigning for him.

"My campaigns are good with the help of BN and Pakatan Harapan (PH) machinery.

"BN members always get on-the-ground during my campaigns.

"This is a big advantage for me for this state election," he said when met at Balai Jalan Sepakat, here today.

Azrul also said that he is confident of winning the support of Pas voters in Bayan Lepas, even though the party is not contesting in the seat.

"Pas voters here are loyal Pas voters. They are willing to push the goodness away for the sake of loyalty towards their party.

"For example, they see me doing a good job, but at the same time they don't like our party. Maybe they are in dilemma, not sure which one to choose," he said.

Bayan Lepas will be facing a two-cornered fight between Azrul and Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate Datuk Dominic Lau.

The Election Commission (EC) has set Aug 12 as the polling day.
