SEBERANG JAYA – Sebarang Jaya Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate Izhar Shah Arif Shah has slammed his rival in the state polls, Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate Johari Kassim saying that the latter is an old man with an immature behaviour.

Izhar said this following Johari’s remark that he was too young to serve the people in the Seberang Jaya.

"To be a young leader, I graduated from a local university and I have the ability to serve the public and the experience of contesting in the state polls.

“I think it is a shameful behaviour for him (to say that). For an old man like him, it shows that he is not a mature candidate,” Izhar said in an exclusive interview with Sinar Daily during a walkabout at Bandar Perda.

Previously, Johari had said that Izhar could not be a leader as he was too young.

He also described that Izhar was just like ‘a son’ to him.

Izhar is the son of former Seberang Jaya assemblyman from Barisan Nasional (BN) Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah who served for two terms from 2004 to 2013.

He graduated from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) and has a bachelor's degree in computer science.
