TAMPIN - Former Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin predicts the unity government BN-Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition and the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition will remain victorious in their respective three states.

However, he said the Malay voter wave was expected to be the deciding factor towards the change in the state government formation from both coalitions.

He said it was due to the confidence in the cooperation formed between BN and PH that would affect the voters.

“Currently my predictions remain a three to three (three states for the unity government), but it would depend on the Malay voters tomorrow that will decide whether (the prediction) would remain or cause a surprise.

“If the wave of change is present, the areas that were assumed to be safe would fall (change in individual),” he told reporters after aiding the Gemas state seat PN candidate campaign Ridzuan Ahmad in Jelai Felda on Friday.

Khairy who was the former health minister said he predicted at least 85 per cent Malay voters turnout in the six states on Saturday.

“36-0 (state seat) was based on the best prediction scenario of one vote equivalent to two where a BN vote and one PH vote during the last election (GE15), making it 36-0.

“However, I think it is no longer a question of one plus one, sometimes it will just be one while another will be lost because of the effect of BN cooperating with PH so the last vote given to BN will no longer be given to BN-PH,” he said.

Khairy previously went to Kuala Klawang, Kelebu to aid the Klawang state seat PN candidate Danni Rais before he made an appearance at Sungai Lui state assembly to meet BN candidate Mohd Razi Mohd Ali.

He said he came down to campaign to aid his friends and not the party.

“I came down to campaign as a personal affair to aid my friend while contesting. I support the candidates I think that can serve well,” he said.
