HULU LANGAT: Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) in Selangor are expected to win over two-thirds of the seats in the upcoming state elections.

Selangor BN Election Director Datuk Johan Abd Aziz said the confidence was based on the momentum of voter acceptance during the final stages of campaigning by each BN and PH candidate.

"I believe we have easily surpassed the majority required to form the government. I am confident of winning 30 seats or more, and we might even reach 40 seats, which is two-thirds... I believe that is achievable," he said.

Johan said the collaboration between PH and BN in the state polls was exceptional, with both parties working together at maximum capacity to ensure that Selangor remains under the administration of the unity government.

"I have received feedback, which can be considered positive and satisfactory in all constituencies. This time is different from the 15th general election previously.

"I feel the difference, especially in rural areas. In the past, there used to be clashes from three different directions. Even in Selangor, there are villages with MPKK (Village Community Management Council) aligned with PH, which used to be opponents, but today, they are our allies.

"I can sense the change, sitting together at the same table; this atmosphere is unprecedented... it's extraordinary, and I have full confidence that all BN and PH candidates, God willing, will achieve victory," said Johan at an event with the media in the Merdeka Kampung Sungai Raya Program here on Friday.

Based on the statistics from the Election Commission, around 26,557 military personnel, police, and their spouses were eligible for early voting in Selangor.
