HULU KELANG - Perikatan Nasional (PN) Chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has claimed that the unity government has no plans to improve the country's economy.

He said the government is only making empty promises about addressing the burden of the cost of living for the people.

"This is a significant issue. I want to express my concern that, after eight months, there hasn't been any statement that is heartening or pleasing to the people.

"Not a single cent has been allocated to help the people. What has happened to this country? It seems as if there is no government.

"Not only is there no government, but there is also no plan to help the people," he said during the Grand Finale of Selangor Bangkit Gemilang Perikatan Nasional (PN) Selangor on Friday.

He said that after obtaining the consent of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King), the government should bear the responsibility.

Muhyiddin added that despite his short tenure as prime minister, he has proven that the country successfully emerged from the Covid-19 pandemic.

"I didn't like implementing the Movement Control Order (MCO). If I don't take action, it means I'm not responsible.

"As a leader, I fear Allah. So, I must do things that help the people," he said.

He also has called for PN to win all six states in tomorrow's elections.

"Tomorrow, results after results; I want to hear. Tan Sri, our fight has paid off, PN finally won," he said.
