SHAH ALAM - The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) adds excitement to the upcoming Sinar Bestari Education Carnival 2023 by donating attractive prizes to lucky visitors.

The gifts, in the form of 190 exclusive school bags along with new norm equipment kits, were presented by PTPTN's Chief Executive Officer Ahmad Dusuki Abdul Majid, to Sinar Group Editor Zamri Rambli during an event at the Karangkraf Media Group Complex here yesterday.

Also present at the event were Sinar's Executive Lifestyle Director, Meen Tahrin, who is also the Sinar Bestari Education Carnival 2023 Project Manager.

The carnival is set to take place from Sept 8 to Sept 10.

Ahmad Dusuki described PTPTN's contribution to the Sinar Bestari Education Carnival 2023 as part of their efforts to promote educational awareness among the public, especially parents.

"The prize contributions for the Sinar Bestari Education Carnival 2023 are part of PTPTN's corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme for the community.

"Moreover, this effort is part of PTPTN's main agenda, which always emphasises the development of public education through financial planning and advice," he said.

Ahmad Dusuki added that out of the total number of exclusive PTPTN bags, 130 participants have the opportunity to take home prizes in the National School Rhythmic Competition, which will be held during the carnival.

Furthermore, Ahmad Dusuki encouraged more people, especially parents, to pay attention to long-term financial education funding preparations.

He said the National Education Savings Scheme (SSPN) was one example of the services offered by PTPTN that had greatly benefited the community.

"As of July 31, 2023, we have received deposits totaling RM15.65 billion, and the number of SSPN accounts opened is almost six million.

"Based on this figure, it requires great confidence from the public in the capabilities of SSPN provided by PTPTN," he said, adding that the scheme also offered various incentives to depositors, including tax exemptions, competitive dividends, takaful protection, and more.
