SHAH ALAM - The Sinar Bestari Education Carnival in Shah Alam has attracted parents with its variety of activities for children of all ages.

Siti Roshazar Zolkifli, a housewife, 38, said that most activities held at the carnival are suitable for various age groups, regardless of whether they are young or old.

“Usually on weekends, my husband and I will take the children to a park or a place where they can engage in various activities.

"I'm drawn to the concept of this carnival because it highlights the educational aspect for children, which is excellent for their mental development, self-confidence, and their ability to interact with the public," she said when interviewed at the Karangkraf Complex today.

The mother of two children said that her kids are excited because they get to spend the weekend at the carnival.

According to Siti Roshazar, most activities are suitable for shaping the children's personalities so they are brave enough to try new things.

Meanwhile, Nurhidayah Asri, 36, noted that activities involving public participation benefit children's development.

“A few years ago, the country faced Covid-19, which disrupted our daily activities to the extent that all programmes had to be halted due to the virus's impact.

“So, the children only grew up inside the house.

"Therefore, I took this opportunity to bring the children to participate in activities suitable for their age," she said.

Nurhidayah also revealed that she wants to make the most of her holiday time because her busy work schedule has hindered her children from participating in any events.

She also believes that her children's participation in this carnival will help her identify their interests in co-curricular and curriculum aspects.
