Indian superstar Rajinikanth meets PMX
SHAH ALAM - Indian movie superstar Rajinikanth, an actor synonymous with South Indian cinema and star of more than 170 movies, paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
On his social media platform X, Anwar shared pictures of him and Rajnikanth at the Perdana Putra Building in Putrajaya on Monday.
"I appreciate the respect he has shown for my advocacy, especially regarding issues of suffering and hardship faced by the people.
"Among the topics we discussed in a relaxed manner are those related to the social elements I advocate being included in his future films," Anwar said in the post.
Anwar also hoped for Rajinikanth to continue to excel in the field of filmmaking.
The post has garnered some 200,000 views and 4,000 comments since it was posted at 5pm.
X platform user @ZamanAbdulWahe1 expressed that Anwar is the saviour of the Malaysian people.
"In the movie, Rajinikanth is the saviour of the Indian people; in reality, Anwar is the saviour of the Malaysian people," he said.
Another user, @sheikhqalam, said, "Sivaji meets Sivaji The boss is PMX (Anwar)," they said in the comment section.
