SHAH ALAM - David Beckham is set to reveal how he struggled to keep his children out of the public eye in an upcoming Netflix documentary about his life.

The documentary will showcase the former England star's career in a four-part docu-series.

It's a deep dive into the professional and personal life of one of the most legendary football players in history.

Despite facing intense pressures, David has continued his career both on and off the pitch.

The series will also feature contemporary and historic interviews with Beckham's family and teammates, as well as his former Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson.

Beckham played under the Scot for a decade before their relationship soured when Ferguson accidentally kicked a boot at the midfielder after a loss to Arsenal in 2003, leaving a scar.

Looking back at Beckham’s decades-long sporting career (spanning from 1992 to 2013), the docu-series will showcase never-before-seen footage and grants viewers access to David's innermost thoughts during some of the most pivotal moments of that time.

The trailer reveals that the sporting star 'never really did well at school because all I ever wanted to do was play football.'

It also delves into aspects of Beckham’s life he had previously kept private, such as his relationship with Victoria Adams during the height of her music career.

They had to keep their relationship a secret, and the consequences of suddenly having someone in his life who came first ahead of football.

“It took a toll on me that I never even knew myself,” Beckham said in the trailer.

'Beckham,' a new documentary series, will premiere globally on October 4 on Netflix.
