'I am not a prophet...' - says Engku Emran on divorceREPORTER SINAR HARIAN
SHAH ALAM - The third divorce of businessman Engku Emran Engku Zainal Abidin has become a hot topic on social media in the past few days.
It has gained attention even in foreign countries, with the media there also discussing the divorce case of Engku Emran and Noor Nabila Mohd Noor, which happened last Monday.
Pouring out his troubled heart, Engku Emran shared screenshots of a conversation with two close acquaintances, namely Ustaz Rosli and Kekanda Uchop.
The 48-year-old man revealed that this third divorce has truly tested his patience, with numerous rumours circulating, especially involving his father and his daughter, Engku Aleesya.
"I'm not a prophet. I feel sorry for my father and my daughter having to deal with these uncalled-for stories involving them.
"I can handle it myself, but I feel sorry for my family and friends. They might also feel embarrassed," he said.
Through the text conversation, Ustaz Rosli advised Emran to occupy himself with reading the Quran, engaging in zikir, prayer, and practicing religious teachings at home.
Meanwhile, Kekanda Uchop believed that remaining silent was better than speaking out.
It was reported that Engku Emran and Neelofa's sister, Noor Nabila, officially divorced through a "talak satu" on Monday after two years of marriage.
Before marrying Noor Nabila, Engku Emran was previously married to Erra Fazira on October 25, 2007, and has a daughter, Engku Aleesya. They later divorced on February 18, 2014.
After being single for three years, Engku Emran married popular Indonesian actress Laudya Cynthia Bella on September 8, 2017, but their marriage only lasted for three years.
Meanwhile, Noor Nabila was previously married to actor Sharnaaz Ahmad on March 31, 2017, and they separated on July 9, 2020. They have a son together, Jebat Jayden.
Before marrying Sharnaaz, Noor Nabila had been in a previous marriage but did not have any children.
