JERUSALEM - As the Israeli war on Gaza enters its one-month mark, most of the hospitals and healthcare centres across Gaza have been forced out of service, either due to direct bombings or because of a lack of fuel and medical supplies, officials said.

Israel carried out at least 102 attacks on healthcare since the outbreak of the fighting in the besieged enclave on Oct 7, Anadolu Agency cited the World Health Organisation (WHO).

WHO said the attacks resulted in 504 fatalities, 459 injuries, damage to 39 facilities and affected 31 ambulances.

The UN health agency also called for the "active protection of civilians and healthcare."

According to the Gaza media office, only 18 hospitals are functioning partially and under extremely difficult conditions as they have run out of fuel and medical supplies.

Israel has launched relentless air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip since Oct 7.

At least 10,022 Palestinians, including 4,104 children and 2,641 women, have been killed since then. - BERNAMA-ANADOLU
