Despite being under fire for consistently pledging support for the Palestinians, Huda Beauty founder Huda Kattan announces that it will donate USD$1 million to humanitarian organisations in Gaza.

“It’s been A MONTH of immense suffering in Gaza, and unfortunately things are getting worse.

“It’s important that we always stand on the side of the oppressed & use our platforms to shed light on any injustice. We cannot stand by and pretend like this is not happening.

“Our Huda Beauty brands, including Huda Beauty, Kayali and WISHFUL will be donating $1 million to humanitarian organisations in Gaza.

“This is only because of you that we are able to make this donation, so thank you for your support. Together we can bring change,” it said in a statement posted on Instagram.

Social media users lauded the move and the fact that Huda Beauty maintained its stance despite the calls to boycott.

“Love to see a brand that is willing to use their resources to help those in need,” Ashghotcakess said.

Malaysian popular singer-songwriter Yuna praised Huda for being amazing.
