KEMAMAN - Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has endorsed Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar as a potential future Prime Minister candidate.

Muhyiddin said that Samsuri's selection as the candidate for the Kemaman by-election was a strategic move to demonstrate PN's strength and leadership capabilities to the public.

"The public will see that we have many wise, capable, tested, and moderate leaders.

"We must acknowledge that there will be a time when PN will form the government.

"I believe that Pas's decision to place Samsuri as a Parliamentary candidate is a strategic step that provides a very good outcome for both Pas and PN," he said when met after a programme with the Felda Kerteh 5 residents earlier today.

Muhyiddin also expressed confidence in Samsuri's ability to secure a significant victory in the by-election.

He added that the by-election is crucial as it takes place after the state elections, when PN's support is on the rise.

"Usually, people don't want to vote in by-elections, but this time I hope they will vote because this figure is significant.
