JUSTICE must be served for Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin, a six-year-old boy with autism, who was discovered dead near a river near the Idaman Apartments in Damansara Damai, Kuala Lumpur, two days ago.

This was following the outcome of the post-mortem examination conducted by the Sungai Buloh Hospital Forensic Department which found injuries on the body of the victim who was believed to have been murdered.

The victim was reported missing on Tuesday afternoon before he was found lying by the river about 200 metres away from his residence on Wednesday night.

His body was discovered by a group of residents who were conducting a search in the surrounding area.

However, it is understood that the location where the body was found was an area that has already been searched by the K9 Tracker Dog Unit, the day before.

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

The victim's mother, Ismanira Abdul Manaf, 28, was unable to accept the sad news of her child's death. She said she thought that Zayn would still be by her side.

The police should conduct a fair investigation into the case to find the culprit in Zayn's murder.
