Zayn Rayyan's case: 'Let the police carry out investigation'

PETALING JAYA - "We leave it entirely to the police to investigate."

That was the reaction of several individuals believed to be the victim's family members when asked about the incident that befell the late Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin.

The individuals who refused to comment further on the tragedy requested for space to be given to the family members to deal with the incident.

"I'm sorry, I can't comment further, let the police investigate this matter, I'm sorry," the individual told reporters at the Section 9 Cemetery, Kota Damansara, here on Thursday.

Also present was Petaling Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid.

Zayn Rayyan's disappearance since last Wednesday was unravelled when the victim was found dead in a creek about 200 metres from Idaman Apartment, Damansara Damai on Wednesday.

The victim was believed to have been killed following the results of the post-mortem which revealed injuries to the child's neck and body which indicated foul play.

Earlier, the body of Zayn Rayyan was laid to rest at the cemetery attended by hundreds of family members and friends of the family.
