Man allegedly chokes woman at Johor mall

SHAH ALAM - In a deeply disturbing incident captured on video, a man was allegedly seen choking a woman at a mall, sparking widespread concern and condemnation.

The distressing footage, now viral, reveals a tense confrontation between the two individuals.

The incident reportedly occurred at an undisclosed location within the mall, leaving onlookers shocked at the unfolding events.

As the man choked the woman, who had fallen to the ground, she cried out for help.

In a defensive move, the woman was observed throwing what appears to be the man's shoe while shouting that he intended to harm her.

"Crazy old man, he wants to kill me," she exclaimed.

She then walked away with a baby stroller, with the man seen leaving the scene alongside her.

Many users are sharing the footage to raise awareness about the alleged assault and to demand swift action against the assailant.

Posting the video on X, formerly Twitter, @MalaysianViral shared the footage yesterday with a caption questioning the audacity of such an act in a public space.

"In front of everyone, he can choke his wife.

"Inside their own home, who knows what happens," it stated.

The location is believed to be the Aeon Tebrau City Store in Johor, as suggested by some netizens who commented on the mall's similarities.

However, certain users expressed concerns about why none of the onlookers witnessing the man's heartless actions towards the woman stepped forward to offer help.

"She is screaming 'he wants to kill me,' yet no one gives a hand," wrote a user on X.

"I hope the lady gets help; she is with a small boy. Seriously?" added another user on X.
