Former Sinar Karangkraf Group Editor Rozaid Rahman dies
The news of his passing was confirmed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s press secretary, Tunku Nashrul Tunku Abaidah.

SHAH ALAM – Former Sinar Karangkraf Group Editor-in-Chief Rozaid Rahman, 59, breathed his last at his residence in Putra Heights today.
The news of his passing was confirmed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s press secretary, Tunku Nashrul Tunku Abaidah.
Rozaid, who was also the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Media and Strategic Communications director reportedly passed away due to a heart attack.
Previously, he had experienced similar health issues and had received treatment at the Sultan Idris Shah Hospital in Serdang.
On July 5, Anwar visited Rozaid, who was undergoing treatment due to his health problems.
Rozaid began his duties at Sinar Harian on Jan 4, 2021 before deciding to end his service on Dec 30, 2022.
During his tenure, he had also launched the English-language news portal for the Karangkraf Group, Sinar Daily.
Rozaid had extensive experience in journalism for 40 years, having started his career as a cadet reporter at Utusan Malaysia in April 1984.
The veteran journalist also held the position of Executive Content Officer/Group Executive Editor at The Star Media Group.
Additionally, he served as the Press Secretary to Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, who was then the Higher Education Minister.
