Helicopter crash: Last communication at 10.18am - CAAM
The pilot informed the Flight Information Service at the Kuala Lumpur Air Traffic Control Centre that the helicopter was returning to the landing site.

SHAH ALAM - A helicopter crash near Bentong, Pahang, earlier today has resulted in possible fatalities, with authorities now working to determine the full extent of the tragedy.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) confirmed that the accident involved a Bell 206L4 helicopter, bearing the registration number PK-ZUV, at a landing site near Bentong at 10.26am.
The aircraft, operated by MHS Aviation Berhad, was on an aerial work flight when the incident occurred.
The last communication from the operator was at 10.18am, when the pilot informed the Flight Information Service (FIS) at the Kuala Lumpur Air Traffic Control Centre (KLATCC) that the helicopter was returning to the landing site.
According to CAAM, the accident involved one ground crew member, while the pilot has been reported safe.
However, Bentong District Police Chief, Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar, indicated that the situation is more severe.
“It is understood that there are fatalities. I will issue a further statement soon,” he had said.
The Air Accident Investigation Bureau, under the Transport Ministry, will conduct a thorough investigation following the guidelines outlined in Part XXVI of the Civil Aviation Regulations 2016.
Authorities are expected to provide further updates as more details emerge regarding the cause of the crash and the number of casualties.
