SHAH ALAM – Bersatu Federal Territories Information Chief, Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz has rebuked Pakatan Harapan (PH) leaders, urging them to address their own internal problems before criticising others.

Responding to comments made by PKR Communications Director Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, Tun Faisal accused PH of ignoring its own unresolved issues with component parties and internal factions.

“Pakatan Harapan has even more internal issues with Rafizi, together with the so-called 'Group of Nine.' Their issues with Umno, MCA and MIC are unresolved.

"Worse still, we don't even see them trying to fix these problems.

“So, don’t talk about other people’s parties when your own is in a mess. The current ruling coalition is in more chaos than any opposition party," he said when met at the Karangkraf complex on Thursday.

Tun Faisal stressed that internal issues within the opposition do not affect national governance, but internal turmoil in the ruling coalition has direct consequences on government operations.

“At least opposition parties are not in government. If we need to resolve issues among ourselves, it doesn’t affect governance,” he added.

Tun Faisal’s remarks came in response to a recent statement by Fahmi, who advised Bersatu to focus on its own worsening internal crisis instead of speculating about the possible timing of the 16th General Election (GE16) or upcoming state elections.

Fahmi had said the internal dynamics within Bersatu were becoming increasingly turbulent, citing the circulation of a ‘surat layang,’ an anonymous letter allegedly aimed at the party’s deputy president, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.

He described Bersatu’s internal affairs as “more dynamic” and suggested that the existence of such a letter reflected a troubling and unhealthy political atmosphere within the party.

Despite the turbulence, Bersatu is proceeding with its Annual General Assembly (PAT) 2025 as scheduled.

The event will take place on Sep 6 and 7 at the Ideal Convention Centre (IDCC) in here, with full attendance expected from 2,555 delegates representing 202 divisions nationwide.
