In a time when “self-care” has become just another buzzword buried under the weight of deadlines, family demands and social media expectations, BMF The Aesthetics People and Svenson are giving the phrase a deeper meaning.

Their latest collaboration, aptly titled “Still Me With More,” launched at Intermark Mall in conjunction with World Mental Health Day, aims to redefine how Malaysians view self-care not as indulgence, but as an act of self-respect and emotional survival.

BMF, formerly known as Bella Marie France and Svenson, a global pioneer in trichology, have joined forces to remind Malaysians that wellness begins from within.

Designed for today’s multitasking individuals who constantly juggle between work, family, and social obligations, the campaign carries a simple but powerful message, that you don’t have to be more than who you are, just take better care of the person you already are.

“Still Me With More” encourages people to pause and realign. Because the truth is, you can’t pour from an empty cup — not even the prettiest facial can fix exhaustion that runs skin-deep.

The launch brought together an insightful trio for a fireside chat that felt more like a group therapy session than a corporate event.

The panel featured Professor Dr Azmawaty, senior lecturer in educational psychology and licensed counselor; Ezzanie Jasny, actress and BMF Ambassador; and Datuk Fazley Yaakob, celebrity chef, entrepreneur and Svenson Ambassador.

Together, they spoke candidly about the pressures of modern life, the importance of mental wellness and why Malaysians still struggle to talk about burnout without guilt.

According to recent data, about 4.6 per cent of Malaysians aged 15 and above are currently facing depression, nearly double the rate recorded in 2019, a statistic that hung heavy in the room.

Azmawaty pointed out that while awareness on mental health is rising in Malaysia, stigma continues to cast a shadow.

She called for empathy and small, consistent acts of care mindfulness, setting boundaries, and simply giving ourselves permission to rest.

Ezzanie, who has lived much of her life under the public eye, spoke honestly about the toll of constant scrutiny.

“Today, beauty isn’t about perfection. It’s about feeling comfortable and confident in who you are.”

For Fazley, juggling multiple roles as a father, chef and entrepreneur means managing stress through balance and some punches.

“Mental wellness isn’t weakness, it’s a lifelong journey of balance and self-improvement,” he said, sharing how Muay Thai, music and Svenson’s 8-in-1 Stress Relief Therapy keep him grounded.

Ezzanie credits BMF’s CFU Face Treatment for keeping her glow through long filming days, while Fazley relies on Svenson’s 8-in-1 Stress Relief Therapy to support his high-energy, on-the-go lifestyle.

For BMF, a brand that has been in Malaysia for over 40 years and Svenson, which has led the trichology field globally since 1956, this campaign unites beauty and wellbeing under the same roof.

Their new 8-Week Self-Care Edit programme is the physical embodiment of that philosophy, featuring curated skin, body, hair and scalp treatments designed to help clients Reset, Recharge, and Recover.
