PETALING JAYA – All members of the Supreme Leadership Council (MPT) of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) unanimously agreed to put an end to the party’s internal crisis in order to strengthen unity and reinforce Bersatu’s position ahead of the Sabah state election (PRN).

Bersatu President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the decision was reached during a special meeting held at the party’s headquarters here on Tuesday involving the attendance of almost all top party leaders.

“We have been facing some issues, but today everyone agreed that we must find the quickest way to reunite as one solid and strong team,” he said.

Muhyiddin said the council agreed that any issues or disputes that arose previously must be immediately ended to ensure the party’s focus remained on the welfare of the people and preparations for the election.

He stressed that the issue needed to be put to an end and that nothing further should be raised about it.

Muhyiddin also said Bersatu had finalised its seat distribution in Sabah alongside Perikatan Nasional partners Pas and Gerakan.

He would be in Sabah on Nov 7 to launch the PN election machinery, followed by the candidate announcement on Nov 11.

“Today we finalised the seats that Bersatu will contest, but our partners Pas and Gerakan will also take part,” he said.

During the meeting, Bersatu approved the establishment of an Appeals Board to manage internal matters more systematically.

Muhyiddin said several Supreme Leadership Council members were selected to present detailed proposals for implementation soon.

He emphasised that the party was now fully committed to consolidating its leadership and preparing to face ongoing political challenges with renewed determination.
