Namewee remains in remand after police obtained an order to extend it until tomorrow.

The police had on Nov 5 obtained a six-day remand order against him and last Monday (Nov 10) obtained a three-day extension of the remand.

The victim, identified as 33-year-old Hsieh Yun Hsin, was found dead in a bathtub in the bathroom of a hotel along Jalan Conlay here on Oct 22. Her body was later sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The case, which was initially classified as a sudden death (SDR), has since been reclassified as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code. Namewee is believed to have been the last person seen with the victim. - BERNAMA
