'Better to die than be bullied': Mother shares distress over son's despair after alleged school bullying

SHAH ALAM – A mother has expressed her distress and disappointment after her seven-year-old son claimed a classmate had bullied him.

In a video shared on Threads, the child can be heard crying uncontrollably while making a statement, saying he wanted to die because he could no longer endure the bullying.

"It’s better to die than to be bullied all the time. I’m tired of being bullied. Better to die than be bullied always," the boy said in the video.

His mother, trying to comfort him, responded, "Don’t cry, tomorrow I will meet him. Go and pray; crying won’t solve the problem.”

Based on the dialect used in the recording, the incident is believed to have taken place in Kelantan.

In her Instagram Story, the mother claimed that her son had been hit with a shoe and called 'noob' by another student.

“If this story goes viral tomorrow or the day after, I will not apologise. In my life’s dictionary, there is no such thing as ‘kids need to learn first before they understand’. I’m really angry this time.

“If anyone sees my status and you’re in the field of psychology, you would know how hurt my child’s heart and mind are,” she wrote.

She also said she had contacted the class teacher and the mother of the child who allegedly bullied her son.
