Unidentified man’s body found decomposed by Sungai Bayu Puteri

JOHOR BAHRU - The body of an unidentified man was found bloated and decomposed by the banks of Sungai Bayu Puteri near an apartment building here yesterday.
Johor Bahru South District Police chief ACP Raub Selamat said police received information on the discovery at about 6pm.
"Initial investigations found no identification documents on the victim and he also did not have a BCG injection mark, while fingerprint identification could not be carried out due to peeling skin.
"Post-mortem examinations were conducted by the forensic unit at Sultanah Aminah Hospital here and the cause of death was recorded as ‘Unascertained’ (decomposed body),” he said in a statement today.
Raub said that so far, no missing persons reports matching the victim’s physical description had been received at the Permas Jaya Police Station here and the case had been classified as sudden death (SDR).
