KAJANG – A neighbour said the youngest child in the family involved in the case of three children allegedly given a harmful liquid believed to be methadone would often play with her child along the corridor outside their flat in Sungai Ramal Baru here.

The neighbour, who declined to be named, said the boy did not display any suspicious behaviour prior to the incident.

“The youngest child would always play with my child along the corridor in front of the house.

“Almost every afternoon, he would be there playing,” she told reporters.

She added that she had been informed the children were said to have been unwell.

“As far as I know, I never heard or saw the parents arguing. Their children often came here, so we were quite familiar with their daily routine,” she said.

On Wednesday, media reported that police had detained the parents of the three children to assist investigations after one of the boys was confirmed dead.

Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said the Kajang district police headquarters received information from a medical officer at Hospital Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin at about 9.01am on Wednesday regarding three local boys brought to the Emergency Department.
