SHAH ALAM – Sean Solo, the viral sensation famously known online as the “Hongdae Guy”, has brought his signature comedic energy to Klang, swapping the bustling streets of Seoul for one of Malaysia’s most iconic dishes: Bak Kut Teh.
In a lighthearted video shared by Malaysian-Japanese duo Joshua Lim and Arisa Yamanaka on their Instagram channel, @malaypantv_official, Sean is seen enthusiastically enjoying a Bak Kut Teh feast, complete with youtiao (fried dough crullers) and tofu.
“This is very good,” he said, delighting in more than two plates of rice while learning the traditional way to savour the herbal broth.
Sean rose to global fame through sketches parodying the over-the-top antics of young men in Seoul’s trendy Hongdae district.
He is best known for his expressive gestures and hilariously awkward English catchphrases, such as “Do you libe alone?” and “Are you open-mindeu?”.
