KUALA LUMPUR – Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli is reportedly under pressure following criticism from various quarters, including being labelled the “most failed minister,” says PKR founder Ng Lum Yong.

Ng said the situation arose after Rafizi allegedly stopped supporting Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, leading him to issue statements critical of the government’s leadership.

“After he no longer supported Anwar, many negative stories about the Prime Minister began to circulate. This action is not right. As a politician, Rafizi must behave as a gentleman,” Ng said on Sunday.

He added that Rafizi should not criticise every issue simply because he no longer supported the party leadership.

Ng also claimed that his team could predict Rafizi’s next move, suggesting that the Pandan MP may attempt to shape a new political narrative following what he described as failures to deliver on manifesto promises.

He said several major initiatives introduced previously, including the Pangkalan Data Utama (Padu) and a multi-million ringgit self-service machine project, allegedly failed to demonstrate consistent positive impact.

“Rafizi will leave PKR,” Ng added.

In a related development, political activist Faizan Mohd Noor previously criticised Rafizi, claiming he had been inconsistent by speaking out only against certain companies after leaving government office.

Faizan alleged that during nearly three years as Economy Minister, Rafizi never objected to the companies he now criticises, despite contracts being awarded or extended under his administration.

Meanwhile, former Sarawak state election candidate Mahmud Epah questioned Rafizi’s credibility as a minister, saying he failed to implement the promised economic reforms.

He added that various economic proposals and formulas presented by Rafizi were not translated into effective implementation during his tenure.

Rafizi has previously rejected these claims, describing the label “most failed minister” as a coordinated campaign by influential groups to distract the public.

He also named several individuals allegedly involved in spreading the narrative, including Lum Yong, Faizan and Mahmud.
