SHAH ALAM - Singapore-based halal hawker brand Fei Siong Group has officially brought its Chinese street food concept, Encik Tan, to Malaysia with the opening of its first outlet at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, also known as Subang SkyPark.
The new outlet, located at Lot G17, marks Encik Tan’s first expansion into Malaysia after operating 21 outlets in Singapore and one in Jakarta.
The brand is known for offering halal-certified Chinese hawker-style dishes aimed at providing more accessible dining options for Muslim consumers and travellers.
The Malaysia outlet is currently undergoing halal certification in accordance with requirements set by Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (Jakim).
In the meantime, the restaurant said all dishes are prepared using halal-certified ingredients.
The restaurant operates daily from 6.30am to 10.30pm, catering to airport passengers, staff and the surrounding Subang community.

Fei Siong Group founder and managing director Tan Kim Siong said Subang SkyPark was chosen as the brand’s first Malaysian location due to its strategic position and steady customer traffic.
“Subang SkyPark presented a timely opportunity for Encik Tan to enter the Malaysian market, from the heart of Singapore to the heart of Kuala Lumpur, bringing heritage hawker flavours loved by the masses that is honest, nostalgic and full of comfort.
"This opening kickstarts our regional expansion into Malaysia, with further outlets planned across key cities including Johor and Kuala Lumpur, in line with the Group’s broader long-term expansion ambitions,” he said.
He added that the opening marks the beginning of the group’s regional expansion plans in Malaysia, with more outlets expected to open in key cities including Kuala Lumpur and Johor.
Encik Tan’s expansion into Malaysia is being carried out in partnership with Bake With Yen (BWY), a Malaysian baking supplies retailer with more than 30 years of experience in the food and hospitality industry.
