Two Prisons Department vehicles arrive at Najib’s residence
This came after confirmation that a court order had been secured allowing him to serve the remainder of his prison sentence under house arrest.

KUALA LUMPUR – Two Prisons Department vehicles were spotted arriving at former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s residence in Langgak Duta at about 2.40pm today.
This came after confirmation that a court order had been secured allowing him to serve the remainder of his prison sentence under house arrest.
Najib’s lawyer, Farhan Muhammad Shafee, confirmed that his legal team had secured the court order for the former Pekan Member of Parliament (MP) to serve the remainder of his sentence at home.
Sinar had earlier reported that the legal team representing the former Umno president was heading to Kajang Prison to submit the house arrest implementation order obtained from the High Court here.
However, Farhan said several further procedures needed to be completed before Najib could be released from prison.
He expected the matter to be settled today, subject to the smooth completion of the relevant processes.
Asked whether the 73-year-old former Pekan MP would leave Kajang Prison immediately, he said it would depend on how the process proceeded.
