KUALA LUMPUR - The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and 10 states until 6 pm today.

It said in a statement that the adverse weather is forecast to affect the whole of Perlis, Selangor and Melaka, while in Kedah, only Langkawi was expected to be affected.

Similar weather conditions are also forecast in Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang, Muallim, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Perak Tengah and Manjung in Perak; Cameron Highlands, Lipis and Raub in Pahang; Jelebu, Seremban, Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah and Rembau in Negeri Sembilan; and Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Kulai, Pontian and Johor Bahru in Johor.

In Sarawak and Sabah, the affected areas are Kuching (Kuching and Bau), Serian (Tebedu), Sibu, Sarikei (Julau), Mukah (Mukah, Dalat and Matu), Kapit (Song and Kapit), Bintulu, Miri (Beluru, Marudi, Miri and Subis) as well as Limbang; and the Interior (Sook, Tambunan, Keningau, Membakut and Beaufort), West Coast (Papar, Penampang, Putatan, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran and Ranau), Tawau (Kalabakan and Tawau), Sandakan (Kinabatangan, Paitan and Tongod) and Kudat (Pitas and Kudat). - BERNAMA

National Continuous rain expected in parts of Kelantan, Terengganu and Sabah from Nov 8 to 11
