A social media influencer was fined RM40,000 today after he pleaded guilty to posting an offensive video on social media showing three teenage boys giving rice mixed with chicken bones to a homeless man on a sidewalk.

Lawyer Muniandy Vestanathan, representing shipping company chief executive officer Datuk Seri R Jeyenderan, confirmed that Caprice, whose legal name is Ariz Ramli, had deposited the full amount into his client's law firm account.

On Oct 15 last year, High Court Judge Roslan Mat Nor, who granted Jeyenderan an interim injunction in his defamation suit against Caprice, also ordered the influencer to pay RM8,000 in costs within two weeks. This payment was not made.
