A man was jailed for 10 months and fined RM50,000 by the Sessions Court today after he pleaded guilty to posting a grossly offensive comment on Facebook relating to Islam and the late Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi last April.

The charge was framed under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the death penalty or life imprisonment of up to 40 years with a minimum of 12 strokes of the cane if not sentenced to death.
