A 24-year-old woman was sentenced to two years’ jail by the High Court here for causing the death of her newborn child by throwing the baby from the 38th floor of a condominium, last year.

A former private college student was sentenced by the High Court today to three months’ imprisonment and fined RM10,000, in default five months in jail, after pleading guilty to an alternative charge of infanticide.

On Monday, police confirmed the discovery of the infant’s body in a toilet bowl of a women’s restroom at the petrol station.
