A man was injured after allegedly being shot by an unidentified assailant while in the forest near Kampung Maasop, Senaling, here today.

The deceased, who was believed to be a bodyguard-cum-driver to another victim who was also in the car, succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital.
