A 26-year-old constable was shot in the abdomen with his own service weapon, which the suspect had managed to seize during the tussle.

A woman pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court today to a charge of attempting to murder a police officer by ramming her car into him and causing injury earlier this month.

Yap Thye Sun is charged with attempting to murder Corporal Mohd Nazri Sudiman by stabbing him in the abdomen, causing a 'penetrating abdominal wound with evisceration', an injury that could have led to the victim’s death.
