As Sabah’s election nomination day nears, several Sabah MPs, ministers, and deputy ministers were absent from Parliament, leading to minor agenda adjustments.

Anifah, who was Kimanis MP until 2018, unsuccessfully tried to unseat Dr Daud in the 2020 snap election, when he contested under his party’s ticket for the seat in Sabah’s south-western Beaufort area.
