PKR is prepared to face GE15 at any time

PETALING JAYA - PKR is ready to face the 15th General Elections (GE15), which, party communications director Lee Chean Chung believes can happen anytime soon.

Lee said that the party's preparedness for the coming national poll will be reflected in this Saturday event -- the PKR Election Convention 2022.

"I would like to inform that the execution of this convention is an important sign that PKR is prepared to face GE.

"It does not matter whether it will be done as soon as possible or next year," he said at a press conference at PKR headquarters here today.

The convention director Manivanan Gowin and PKR Wanita Deputy Chief Juwairiya Zulkifli were among those present at the conference.

According to Lee a total 10,000 election volunteers have registered with PKR.

Meanwhile, Manivanan told the press that the convention will be held at the Raja Muda Musa Hall, Selangor State Youth and Culture Complex, Section 7, Shah Alam, Selangor from 2 to 5pm.

"The main aim and objective of this convention is to ensure the direction of the party for GE15, updating our campaign preparation and to provide instructions to party machinery," he said.

According to him the convention will be divided into two segments; with the first involving the grassroot while the second one will be focusing on the party leadership.

He said up to six grassroot representatives are expected to speak at the convention.

"A special election mandate by PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the election strategy mandate by PKR election director Rafizi Ramli will also be delivered at the convention," he said.
