SHAH ALAM - The success of the daily show My #QuranTime for two years proves that religious programmes have gained the attention of many viewers in Malaysia.

TV Alhijrah chief executive officer Namanzee Harris said his experience on managing and airing the show which reached 800 episodes had been an eye opener for the potential of such programmes.

"From a media point of view, our expectations were for viewers to stick to our programme for some time, for example, a few weeks or months.

"My #Qurantime proves that we can capture the attention of viewers for a long time especially for religious programmes.

"From here we can learn that spiritual contents which discussed the Quran and hadith could gain more spots," he said on Tuesday.

Commenting on the My #QuranTime 1.0 convocation, Namanzee said it represented an important ceremony to celebrate viewers and contestants that had been loyal to My #QuranTIme for over two years since it was held.

Throughout the ceremony, he had hoped for it to be a catalyst for viewers and the general public to continue appreciating the Quran with a deeper understanding of it in their daily lives.

"The taddabur process is a continuous process. It is just that we see the Khatam Tadabbur My #QuranTime 1.0 Convocation as a way to celebrate a process of tadabbur that was done for days for more than two years.
